The Tatra, putting the heart of Slovakia on the map

The Tatra region is probably for most of us still a blind spot on the map. However, the destination has a lot of strong cards to play. Wonderfull nature, mountains above 2000m high, stretched valleys, ski resorts able to measure with the big names in Europe, Unesco heritage, lively traditions and several cultural highlights. Here you can find the heart of Slovakia formed by the High Tatra and the Liptov region. The last couple of years a lot of investments were made resulting in a tourist infrastructure of the highest standards. The Tatra is ready to welcome more visitors from the Benelux and launched a partnership with KonsulTra. Together we have established an action plan working on the promotion of the destination via targeted consumer campaigns, press trips and a close collaboration with travel professionals. 

Targeted online marketing

A website in Dutch has been launched and is currently being pushed through Facebook Ads, Google Display Bannering and Google Search Ads. In a first phase we are working on awareness for Tatras. In a second phase the campaign will be aimed at generating conversion and traffic.  en

Collaboration with tour operators

For the development on the Belgian and Dutch travel market we enhance the partnerships with current tour operators and encourage others to include the destination. Together we will analyse potential in terms of product development and co-marketing in order to put the Tatra on the map. 

Media are discovering the destination 

The first press trips have taken place. Thanks to carefully selected press relations and bloggers we will obtain more attention for the Tatra region on both online and offline channels. In this way we will ensure a good general awareness.
